issues of WOLF

There are many reasons why wolves are endangered/extinct
::
People afraid of Wolf

 Most people used to be afraid of wolves and thought they were dangerous to humans.
For a long time, people would get money for bringing in a dead wolf. This was called bounty hunting
(between 1850 and 1900 more that a million wolves were killed. In 1907 the call was given for the total extinction of the species.)
Huge threats for human
The biggest reason why they were destroyed is that man felt they were a huge threat to them. Stories of wolves eating men and other horrific visions meant that the mentality was to kill them or to be killed.

Illegal Hunting
Due to the drastically low numbers of wolves, it is illegal in most areas to hunt them. Some populations such as those in Montana are now high enough again that limited hunting of them is allowed. There is still a great deal of illegal hunting that goes on behind the scenes though.

Just for fun
For many hunters the thrill of finding a wolf in Alaska or Canada is something that they are very interested in doing. They can spend days or weeks in the wilderness trying to track them down. With limited numbers it has become increasingly hard to find them to hunt. Yet for many that is part of the fun of trying to make it happen.

They are known to kill domestic animals.
This includes pets and even cattle that may be raised for a living. The problem though isn’t one that the wolves should be blamed for. Instead, it is the result of humans continually moving in on the land that used to be their natural habitat to roam. They are doing what they instinctively are programmed to according to the laws of nature.

Habitat been crushed
Their habitat has been disturbed by humans. Such as forests has been explored and make the wolf come out from the forest and stay around human areas.

Human justified that they can kill wolf
A great deal of it is conducted by ranchers who have purchased land very close to the natural habitat of the wolves. They are upset that the wolves are killing their livestock and other animals. They feel that they are justified to kill them in order to protect the animals they have invested their money in.
